

I just put new Rotosound round wound strings on it today. The knobs are replacements of what was seen on the original.

I just had the electronics cleaned at a Sam Ash music and had a potentiometer. It is missing 2 nylon saddles and the screw piece that runs through the bridge for both. It has some nicks and missing lacquer spots on it but is structurally sound.

For its age this bass is in pretty good shape. I understand why Gibson threatened to sue some Japanese guitar manufacturers after playing this bass- it is really close to the original it is based off of. I have played the remakes of the 70's Gibsons and in my opinion this bass is better! I have heard some Gibson owners state that the necks on real Rippers are fatter or wider. Really cool bass guitar!
